Scroll the Quran

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

In short: you can read the Quran in Scroll the Quran without an account. We show no ads, use no advertising or analytics trackers, and never sell your data. If you create an account, we store only what is needed for your account, your streak and the community features, and you can delete all of it from inside the app.

Who we are

Scroll the Quran: Daily Ayahs (“Scroll the Quran”, “the app”) is published by Filip Kalajžić, Croatia (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@enargi.eu.

Data that stays on your device

Your reading position, daily goal, saved ayahs, chosen moods, reading settings, reminder time and reading history are stored locally on your iPhone. Daily reminders are scheduled locally by iOS; we do not collect a push-notification token. This data does not leave your device unless you create an account (see below), and it is removed when you delete the app.

Account data

An account is optional and needed only for community features. You can sign in with Apple, Google or email.

DataWhy
Email address, or the identifier and name/email that Apple or Google share with us (Apple's “Hide My Email” relay address works too)To create and secure your account
Password (email sign-in only)Handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We never see or store it.
Display name, a random 6-character friend codeSo friends and circle members can recognise and add you
Streak, ayahs read today, daily goal, last reading day, your friends listTo show your progress to friends you added

Community data (Premium)

Please don't include personal or sensitive information in reflections. Anything you post can be seen by other users.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives purchase and transaction data from Apple (product, price, dates, renewal status) and an app user ID — if you are signed in, this is your account ID, so Premium follows you to a new device.

What we do not collect

If you have agreed to share diagnostics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports.

How and why we use data

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who processes your data

ProviderWhat for
Google Firebase (Google LLC) — Authentication and Cloud FirestoreSign-in and storing account and community data. Data is stored in the United States.
RevenueCat, Inc.Checking subscription status
Apple Inc.App distribution, Sign in with Apple, payments
Google (Sign in with Google)Only if you choose to sign in with Google

These providers process data on our behalf under their data processing terms. Where data moves outside the EU/EEA, this relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.

How long we keep data

Account and community data is kept until you delete your account. Reports about content may be kept for up to 12 months after the report to handle repeated abuse, even if the reporting account is deleted. Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat as required by law.

Deleting your data

In the app, open You → Delete account. This permanently deletes your sign-in account, profile, friend code and reflections, and removes you from all circles. You can also email info@enargi.eu from the address on your account. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in your Apple ID settings. See Delete your account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under the GDPR, and US states such as California, Virginia and Colorado), you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither). Email info@enargi.eu; we reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using your rights. In the EU you may also complain to your data protection authority — in Croatia, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and community features require you to be at least 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and protected by Firebase security rules, so each user can change only their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Website waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address and the page you signed up from with our hosting provider, Netlify, and use it only to tell you when the app is available. To be removed, email info@enargi.eu.

Changes and contact

We will post changes on this page and update the date above. For important changes we will also tell you in the app. Questions: info@enargi.eu.
